We Love Us Some SoLo Bites!













We are always experimenting new and creative ways to enjoy SoLo Bars.  Here are some of our favourite recipes using SoLo Bar Bites!  To make SoLo Bites, simply take your favourite SoLo bar, chop it into 8-10 pieces, and enjoy!

Frozen SoLo Bites

If you are going on a long hike or bike ride, you often need something to snack on along the way to help keep you energy levels up and your blood sugar in check. 

If you are anything like me, sometimes an entire bar is tough to eat while on the move because you aren't necessarily hungry, but you know your body needs a little extra fuel. 

For these scenarios, I like to plan ahead and make myself a bag of Frozen SoLo Bites. It's easy!  The night before your hike or bike ride, take your favourite SoLo Bar and cut it into 8-10 pieces.  Toss them into a sealed bag or container and stick them in the freezer.  The next morning, grab the bars out of the freezer before heading out the door and pop them in your mouth whenever you need an energy boost throughout the day.  The bites are quick and easy, and sticking them in the freezer gives them a different texture, while also keeping them from melting on a hot day.

SoLo Grano-low Yogurt Bowl

Yogurt bowls are great any time of the day, especially when they are packed with fresh fruit and delicious sources of protein to keep you satisfied longer.

To add a little extra treat to your regular yogurt bowl, chop up your favourite SoLo Bar and add it and other ingredients such as fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, steel cut oats, granola and seeds.  For extra protein and long lasting energy, choose greek yogurt. 

One of my simple favourites is one cup vanilla greek yogurt, one banana chopped into pieces and one bar of Peanut Power SoLo Bites.  Trust me - it's like a banana split but it gives you energy for up to four hours!

SoLo Smoothy

Everyone loves smoothies, and adding a little extra kick to your regular morning routine helps to keep things interesting! 

If you enjoy smoothies with orange juice or banana, try adding one bar of Pineapple Coconut SoLo Bites for an extra 10g of added protein and the delicious taste of tropical goodness!

Although most people don't realize it, healthy greens and chocolate go hand in hand...add a little fruit and you have a totally new twist on breakfast. For a chocolately blueberry mix, add one bar of Chocolate Charger SoLo Bites and a handful of fresh blueberries to your favourite traditional blend of greens such as spinach, kale, and cucumber.  Blend and enjoy!
