Bio

I was involved in many different sports growing up and started cross country skiing at the age of 7 in the Jackrabbit program. It wasn’t until I was 15 that I tried Biathlon, and attended the ’98 AB Winter Games that year as they were in my hometown, Red Deer. Upon graduating from high school in 2000, I immediately started training full time with Rocky Mountain Racers under Richard Boruta, with Olympic dreams. I made the World Junior team that first year and continued to chase after my dreams & goals. And 15 years later, I’ve attended 3 Olympic Games, have stood on a World Cup podium and have had multiple top 10 finishes. Challenges most definitely presented themselves in 15 years, from back injuries, mononucleosis, personal life ups & downs and of course not always achieving goals that I set for myself!
Other interests: Love to get out in the outdoors in other sports such as rock climbing, alpine skiing/touring, travelling & exploring this great globe, spending time whipping up delicious food & desserts, cappuccino moments with friends, yoga, and music.
