Bio

Hello! My name is Camille Hamm and I am a cross-country skier/runner/gym-goer currently based out of Thunder Bay, Ontario and soon Ottawa! I first began skiing at the ripe age of 3 and got involved with the Jackrabbits program at my local Nordic Ski Centre. Fast-forward a few years to middle school where I began to compete on the provincial and national circuits with Big Thunder Nordic. I decided to stay in Thunder Bay to pursue my post-secondary education in Nursing at Lakehead University as well as continue to ski at a high level with the Nordic ski team.

For the past three years I have been living in Victoria, BC throughout the summers to working with the Canadian Armed Forces as Naval Warfare Officer.

Now that I have graduated University and all of my military training, I am currently working full-time as a Registered Nurse while balancing skiing, half-marathon training and my part-time job with the Naval Reserves.

Cross-country skiing has provided me with so many opportunities to better myself as an athlete and as a person. I am excited to say that I will be joining the team of University Athletes travelling to Krasnoyarsk, Russia in March for the World University Games. I am very much looking forward to this opportunity to represent Canada and ski my absolute best.

Balancing a healthy lifestyle is something that is extremely important to me. In my spare time, I love to cook and spend time being active with my friends and family.

Outside of sports and work, I enjoy playing piano and spending time outside.
