Words To Live By
“All for love”. When I am racing, I think about the amazing family I have and I know that no matter what they will be thinking and waiting for me. I truly believe I have won the lottery.
It all started at the swimming pool, I must have been 7 years old when I told my dad that I wanted to sign up for a swimming competition just because it looked fun. I swam competitively for years and I was a very successful swimmer at national level. The swimming pool taught me hard lessons, I wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for the pool. One day one of my trainers decided that I had to run a Cooper test; that’s when I fell in love with running. I changed sports to modern pentathlon and one day decided to run my first 10km... I've never looked back since. I took running a little bit more seriously during my PhD, I guess I needed something to hang on too.
I believe that with passion and hard work everything is possible. My biggest challenge has been leaving my country to pursue my PhD. Having my own company in nutrition and personal training here in Canada has been my biggest success so far. When I am not training I am with my clients helping them to reach their goals.
