Bio
My name is Jamie Broder and I am a Beach Volleyball Player for Team Canada. Growing up in Victoria BC, I spent my time playing as many sports as possible, and learning a lot from my two older brothers. It wasn’t until post-secondary that I specialized in Volleyball while earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of British Columbia. It was there that our team also went on to win the CIS National Championships for the first time in 30 years. Standing at a mere 5’7” I have always been one of the smallest players on the court, but what I lack in height I make up for with my scrappy hard-working mentality. After University, I moved to Toronto Ontario in order to train with the Beach National Team full-time and have been competing on tour ever since. My teammate, Kristina Valjas, and I are currently working towards qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
